LDP3 Proposal
Our suggestion for Blairgowrie & Rattray's LDP3 boundary and ideas
In line with NPF4, the 20 minute neighbourhood and the survey responses, rather than elongate the town, which LDP2 was suggesting, the town expressed the desire to focus on the town centre.
Ashgrove development
The proposed development will consist of a mixture of housing, community farmland and tourism/economy and will ensure nature corridors are created/maintained, green and blue spaces are included and any development is considerate of the latest standards of environmental requirements and affordable housing.
Craigmill development
Whilst on the outskirts of town, the reason for including this area is to connect the existing buildings with the rest of the town and allow further development to meet affordable housing needs.
MU330 (Southern End)
As there has been no interest in this element of LDP2 and inline with the 20 minute neighbourhood and NPF4, it is suggested that the area of development to the south of the town is removed and replaced with an element of the Ashgrove development.
