Our vision for our town

Building upon our Community Action Plan, in 2024 the community helped create our Local Place Plan detailing how we'd like our town to develop. The result is the creation of the LPP and a development team with Blairgowrie & Rattray Development Trust providing the governance and structure.

Current Activity:

We are currently compiling the LPP document based on the 1,000+ comments received from the surveys - we will share the initial draft once it is available.

Introduction

Our Local Place PLan (LPP) plots the aims and aspirations of the local community on a map to show how we would like the town to develop.

The LPP will be registered with Perth & Kinross Council by 31 January 2025 in order for them to take it into account when preparing their Local Development Plan (LDP3) which will update thier current LDP.

LPP Process

The LPP was created over a 7 month period from July 2024 to January 2025 and included meetings, drop-ins, paper and online surveys, discussions and interactions between August 2024 to November 2024. You can find a chronological list of activities that we undertook to create the Blairgowrie & Rattray LPP here.
