Suggestions based by location: Path network
Here are the suggested ideas for Path network:
Enhance Path Network
Integrate path network wth heritge, history and local knowledge working with Our Heritage, BRAN, PKC Greenspace to capture the details and attractions to create a publicised list of walks.
Better signage and maps.
Footpath off the road between Hatton Road and Westfields of Rattray. In the meantime, warning pedestrian signs on roadside and on tarmac
Footpath off road to continue to Blairgowrie Dog Park road
Footpath off road between Perth road and Boggles field
A93 Balmoral Road to Craighall Bridge
Promote Path Network
Create a path/cycle path group
Safer walking into town
Create a wildlife area/park in the firles around the gamsie.
Increase tourism area on LDP
Current LDP2 only has Holiday Park marked for tourism.
Could include:
- Thomsons berry fields/Ashgrove
- Ecotourism
- Salmon fishing
- walking - local path network
Wider attractions:
- Beech Hedge
- Cleaven Dyke
- Muirton
Parkrun
A parkrun would attract more people to the town but recognise locating it is very difficult but it could be part of a new development.
