Suggestions based by location: Town Hall
Here are the suggested ideas for Town Hall:
Craft centre and/or gallery
A central place for Perthshire Artisans to showcase their work - e.g. an extension of the Nest, but on a commercial basis
Increase tourism area on LDP
Current LDP2 only has Holiday Park marked for tourism.
Could include:
- Thomsons berry fields/Ashgrove
- Ecotourism
- Salmon fishing
- walking - local path network
Wider attractions:
- Beech Hedge
- Cleaven Dyke
- Muirton
Update the Town Hall
Make the town hall warm and welcoming - modernise, include a cafe/gallery, glass frontage
Start community services for the Public in the town hall about what’s best and Happening on the community.
LGQTQ venue.
More local events and attractions
More events for teenagers and young adults Paint ball competition Money prize type Competitions.
Pick your own farm, shop and events/workshops.
Build on Christmas Shopping event.
A Blair Fair to promote the town to prospective businesses looking for growth opportunities – it’s a growing town in a lovely spot.
Concernt, theatre, festivals.
Walking festival incorporated with Yomp.
Something to attract visitors.
