Blairgowrie RFC & Blairgowrie Rams RFC

Blairgowrie RFC, founded in 1980, provides a full rugby pathway within Blairgowrie and the surrounding area, offering opportunities from Primary 1 through to senior rugby. The club operates as an inclusive, community‑focused organisation that promotes participation, personal development, and enjoyment of rugby at every stage of life.

Mini, Youth & School‑Age Rugby

  • Blairgowrie Rams RFC delivers mini and youth rugby for children from Primary 1 to Primary 7, with clear progression into S1–S3 youth rugby at Under‑13 and Under‑14 level.
  • Youth rugby is open to all abilities, with a strong emphasis on fun, inclusion, teamwork, and skill development rather than prior experience.
  • The club works closely with local primary and secondary schools, supporting rugby participation as part of physical education and wider community sport initiatives.

Senior Rugby

  • Blairgowrie RFC’s men’s team competes in the Arnold Clark Caledonia Region League Division 1, providing a competitive adult rugby environment while maintaining strong links with the youth section to support long‑term player development.

Women’s & Girls’ Rugby

  • The club has recently launched and continues to grow a Women’s Rugby programme, welcoming players with no prior experience as well as those returning to the game.
  • Weekly women’s training focuses on fitness, skills, confidence, and enjoyment, with numbers steadily increasing as awareness and engagement grow locally.

Summer Touch Rugby – For All

  • Blairgowrie RFC delivers Touch Rugby for All, particularly during the summer months. These sessions are mixed‑age, mixed‑experience, and fully inclusive, offering a social, non‑contact introduction to rugby for the wider community.
  • Touch rugby has proven popular with families, new players, and those returning to sport in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
