Wet Felting Introduction - 2 week class

This workshop is run in the evening over 2 consecutive weeks. Come along and try out the technique of wet felting to make a coaster or a mug cosy.

Week 1 - Tuesday 12 May 6.30pm

There will be a colourful selection of wool fibres for you to select from, and you’ll be shown how to lay out the fibres in layers. Then using water, friction and a bit of elbow grease you’ll create your own unique piece of felt. Please bring along 2 small towels to use during the felting process.

Week 2 - Tuesday 19 May 6.30pm

Using the dried off felt Sheila will help you with design ideas and techniques to create a set of coasters or a mug cosy. There will be an array of embellishments for you to use to complete your design.

Note: we will be using washing-up liquid during the wet felting process so gloves can be provided if you are sensitive to this.

All other materials and tools will be provided along with light refreshments.

Over 12 years can attend with a participating adult.
