A93 Bridge of Cally - Roadworks

blog-img

29 April - Bridge Closed 9am to 3pm.

Works were underway mid April at Bridge of Cally to support the length of masonry parapet above the area of collapse. This is required to allow its safe removal and full repair works to commence thereafter. Unfortunately, due to the complexities of the site and the condition of the spanning parapet, these works had to be curtailed to allow further design re-evaluation. To minimise disruption to the travelling public the time period of the bridge closure was reduced accordingly.

To complete the above parapet support works, a further planned closure of one day is planned to be carried out on 29th April between the hours of 9am and 3pm.

We apologise for any inconvenience this further necessary closure may cause and we would ask the public again to follow diversion signage during the closure as before. The official diversion route will be via A924-A9(T)-A984-A93.

This will then be followed by completion of the main repair works towards the end of May / early June. During the main repair works no further bridge closures are currently envisaged to be required, although there may be short periods where the bridge may have to be closed for up to 5-10 minutes to allow safe delivery / removal of materials.
