A new bookshop for Blairgowrie
From 1st July 2020, Adventure into Books will be open for business. You can find us at 26 Wellmeadow, Blairgowrie.
2020 will be remembered by many people, for many different reasons, for a long time. For us, we’ll remember it as the year we decided to open a bookshop in Blairgowrie – mainly because we live here, love reading and had nowhere nearby where we could browse, discuss and buy new books. And, despite everything that has happened, we remain unshaken in our belief that the world – and more importantly the people of Blairgowrie, Rattray and The Glens – needs books.
When people visit, they’ll find a wide range of new books for all ages and interests – new authors, the classics, the ‘wouldn’t be without’ favourites, biographies, poetry, histories, travel memoirs, maps, hobby books. Books that inform, feed our curiosity, offer escape, and bring solace and love.
Doing our bit to keep people safe in the current environment means we’ll initially limit the number of people in the bookshop to just three at a time, and will have a hand-sanitizing station at the door. Our opening hours for the next few months will be Wednesday-Saturday, 10-4pm, with plans to extend our hours in the autumn.
