Blairgowrie and Rattray Health and Wellbeing

Welcome to the Health and Wellbeing section of the Discover Blairgowrie website. This initiative began in March 2016 and we hope to build useful content over the coming months. First we have a list of some self help resources. Further down are a few audio interviews from local people who have experience of depression.

We recently became aware of "Play List For Life - connecting music, people and memories". Play List for life is a charity set up by journalist, broadcaster and writer Sally Magnusson who learned of the benefit of music to dementia sufferers and their families/carers whilst caring for her own mother Mamie. Sally very strongly believes we should all be looking at how we can help combat dementia NOW - not when we are in the midst of it but before we or someone we know has to battle with it. Creating our own playlist for life can be a first and helpful step. Have a look at the Play List for Life website by cicking here.
