Blairgowrie & Rattray Highland Games

The events are varied, but form a core of the usual events staged at most Highland Games across Scotland.

These include :

Heavie Events like Tossing the Caber, The Hammer Throw and Shot Putt.
Running Events with the Hill Race amongst a varied selection.
Cycling
Tug of War (both for local Groups and Open Teams)

Piping Competition, as part of the Competing Pipers Association.

In addition to the standard events, the Blairgowrie and Rattray Highland Games is the home of the Ardblair Stones, which gives mere mortals the opportunity to test their strength against a range of 9 different sized (and weighted) stones. This is a timed event, and those with the fastest time, completing all of the stones, will then go onto the leader board for the year.

The games also host a variety of other attractions, including a Mini Highland Games for Kids, which is run by the local Rotary Club.
