Job Vacancies - Home Energy Advice Team

The Ericht Trust has recently received funding to support an initiative offering home energy and other energy saving opportunities to the people of Rattray and Mount Blair. Click through for further details about the project.

Home Energy Advice Team (HEAT) Rattray and the Glens Project

We are currently looking to fill three posts, which will start on 1st April 2017 (or as soon as possible thereafter) for a fixed term until 31st March 2018. We will also be looking to contract a number of Climate Change Facilitators at various times over the life of the project to carry out specific climate/energy related initiatives. The three roles that we are currently looking to fill are as follows:-

1. Project Manager

Full Time Fixed Term Contract (35 hours per week)

Salary: £30k per annum

Location: Rattray & Mount Blair area

We are looking for an enthusiastic, engaging and experienced project manager to help deliver this initiative.

  • you will provide both leadership to the team and work with local communities to secure their engagement in achieving the aims of the project
  • you will be able to work both tactically and strategically, network effectively and be capable of developing and passing on specific skills
  • you will be able to identify changes individuals can make to their homes and the way they presently use energy in their home

    2. Energy Advisor

    Part Time Fixed Term Contract (20 hours per week)

    Salary: £12996 per annum

    Location: Rattray and Mount Blair area

    We are seeking an individual with good inter-personal skills, who has an ability to work effectively, both as a member of a team and also on their own. You will also have good communication, planning and organisational skills.

    The primary responsibility will be to plan, undertake and provide follow up support for, home energy efficiency assessments. You will also undertake other activities to support the objectives of the project.

    3. Project Bookkeeper and Administrator

    Part Time Fixed Term Contract (10 hours per week)

    Salary £100 per week

    Location: Rattray and Mount Blair area

    We are looking for a person with experience and current knowledge of managing financial and operational data, and payroll, who is able to work to deadlines. You will need to be able to work effectively as a member of the team, provide admin support, as well as working with community groups and individuals, to help achieve the objectives of the project.
