GrowBiz’s mentoring scheme wins 3 awards

GrowBiz’s mentoring programme won three awards at the recent Scottish Mentoring Network’s Awards ceremony held in Glasgow. In addition to winning the Business Mentoring Project of the Year, Highly Commended awards went to Merle Palmer of Your Scots Past, and to GrowBiz Mentoring Coordinator, Joyce McQuilken.

The awards are timely as GrowBiz extends its rural enterprise support programme across Perth & Kinross in partnership with Perthshire Chamber of Commerce, Business Gateway, Elevator and PKAVS. With funding from the Rural Perth & Kinross LEADER programme, this initiative provides support to anyone thinking of starting or growing a business in a rural area, with a combination of one-to-one support, peer learning, networking and mentoring.

GrowBiz and the Perthshire Chamber are holding a Mentoring Awareness Session at Cargill’s Bistro, Lower Mill Street, Blairgowrie on Tuesday 29th November from 6.00 p.m. – 8.30 p.m. Anyone who would like to learn more about this effective business support activity, whether through being matched with a business mentor, or training to become one, is welcome.

You can find out more, and book your place at www.growbiz.co.uk

The session is free. A finger buffet, teas and coffees will be served from 6.00.
