Are you interested in improving wellbeing for local people

4th April 2016

Are you interested in improving wellbeing for local people and supporting the voice of people who use services?

Do you use health and social care services in Perth and Kinross?

Are you interested in improving wellbeing for local people and supporting the voice of people who use services?

Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership has an exciting opportunity for individuals who use health and social care services to join its Integration Joint Board to help ensure the voices of service users are heard and influence how we take forward services and supports in our communities.

At its heart, Health and Social Care Integration is about improving wellbeing and ensuring that people who use services get the right care and support whatever their needs, at any point in their care journey.

The Integration Joint Board is responsible for the strategic planning of integrated health and social care activity in Perth and Kinross. The Integration Joint Board is seeking ‘expressions of interest’ from people interested in fulfilling a role as a non-voting Stakeholder Member of the Board to reflect the voices of people who use services.

Members will help ensure that people who use services are involved at different stages of health and social care service planning, design and delivery. They will be committed to improving wellbeing outcomes for local people and bringing forward ideas and opinions that reflect the voice of people who use services.

Members will be supported to engage with, and feedback to, a wide network of people who use services through service user groups and forums. The ability to listen to and bring forward views that might be different to your own is important. Experience of a similar role is helpful but not essential, as induction and training will be provided.

‘Expression of Interest Forms’ should be returned by Friday 22 April 2016 to communityengagement@pkavs.org.uk For an informal discussion about this opportunity, please call Susan Bathgate, Community Engagement Worker at PKAVS on 01738 567076.
